My favorite salt rod
"This rod is accurate and responsive, allowing me to cast weighted surf flies with accuracy and control 60+ feet quite easily. I fish from the shore or the surf, but from a boat I'm sure I could push out to 80 feet or more when needed. For an 8wt, it has the most "feel" on the cast stroke out of all the other 8s I own (I usually only fish USA-made premium rods). I am happy I can feel it load, yet it also doesn't tire your arm out after a day of casting. Not that it matters as much, but the rod looks beautiful and the included tube seems indestructible and is very high quality. In a world of $1,000+ rods, this is a great way to have a premium rod for a nicer price."
